Check out Australia's first food & retail ordering at Sydney Airport

A new partnership with Sydney Airport transforms the ordering experience.

In an Australian first that will enhance the comfort and convenience of dining pre-flight at Australia’s busiest airport, Mr Yum and Sydney Airport have announced their new partnership, providing QR-code ordering and contactless food pick up and table service from food courts at domestic terminals.  See the full menu here - mryum.com/discover/syd

“Travelers can now enjoy extra minutes of precious sleep by ordering their morning coffee or bite to eat on their phone as they enter the terminal or wait in line at security. They can then simply pick it up on their way through to the gate avoiding further queues on the inside,” said Kerry Osborn, Co-Founder at Mr Yum.

“And with some retailers opting to even deliver to your table, it’s made food courts that little more fancy and a lot more convenient. That’s almost the kind of service you would get in one of the lounges!”

The initiative was trialled with great success during the Easter long weekend travel period, with travelers scanning QR codes to order from brands such as Red Rooster, Gloria Jeans, Sumo Salad, Mad Mex, Amcal Chemist and Beer Deluxe. Sydney Airport is set to expand the number of retailers participating in the initiative in the coming months.

One week since launch, thousands of travelers have used the service. What are they eating and drinking? Lattes for the bleary-eyed and schooners for parents kicking off the Easter family holiday. Crowd pleaser Popcorn chicken is helping hungry travelers fuel-up on the go.

“As we start to see the return of domestic travel, providing contactless food ordering and delivery to table will be an important part of enhancing the customer experience, and providing quick and convenient food and retail options to our passengers.” said Karen Halbert General Manager of Corporate Affairs, Sydney Airport.
